I added a check to make sure that function exists before it's called and updated the download so it should work for you. At least that part. Honestly it didn't get tested on anything other that WordPress 2.8. Check that. Looks like that function was added in 2.8, which means the theme requires 2.8. Best bet would be to upgrade WordPress. Second best would be to go and open the functions.php file and comment out that line by putting // in front of it. That particular function isn't required for the theme to work.
